Miaoli SaiSiyat Indigenous Cultural Relic Museum is located at Xiangtian Lake, Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli. In fact, it is situated on the administration district of Donghe Village, Nanzhuang. Xiangtian Lake is the place where SaiSiyat tribe people hold the paSta’ay ritual every two years. The museum is a three-storey architecture, which looks like a SaiSiyat bamboo weaving in appearance. Built on a raft foundation, 1F to 3F are RC structures. It has a rattan weaving special zone and Lakeside Restaurant. On 2F, there is a multimedia briefing room and exhibition rooms. On 3F, there is a cultural relic exhibition zone and a SaiSiyat Language Research Center, built in the manner of a bamboo hut. With bamboo outer walls, the roof is decorated with real bamboo. The pillars and the outer part of the parapets on 3F are decorated with black and white bamboos woven patterns to highlight SaiSiyat tribe’s everyday life conditions in the past. Working with local associations, ritual groups, schools, and government agencies, the museum is operated as a tourism spot with SaiSiyat features.
