Miaoli Ceramic Museum is located in the Miaoli Travel Panorama Center near Provincial Highway No. 6. Covering an area of approximately 2 hectares, the Museum is located at the hub of transportation in Miaoli County as it is only 3 km away from National Highway No. 1. In the future, it is expected to become an important tourist spot for tourists traveling from Miaoli to the township of Dahu or Tai-an.
To reapply neglected space and to promote local economy, Miaoli County Government spent three years to renovate an abandoned military base in Gongguan township. By the end of 2005, the construction of Miaoli Ceramic Museum and Miaoli Travel Panorama Center were completed.

With the combined efforts of private and public sectors, the Center will provide tourists with comprehensive information and services related to local culture, handicrafts, featured produces, tourist information, recreational activities and travel planning. At the same time, the Center will also take the lead to promote local economy.
