At the midnight on September 23, 1998, the Western Line changed its route, marking the end of the ninety-year operation of the old route from Sanyi to Houli. The reminiscence of the old train station, tunnels, bridges, and remains of broken bridges appeals to countless visitors.
¡@Shengsing Train Station was once named¡§Shih Liou Fen Stop.¡¨ With an altitude of 402.326 meters, the station was the highest point in the Western Line when it was built in 1906. There is a memorial stele in the train station marking the altitude of Shengsing Train Station.
